phone 814 942-6262 Council meets every 1st Thursday of the month at 8pm Before the meeting a Rosary is prayed starting at 7:30 pm. Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to men 18 years of age or older who are practical (that is, practicing) Catholics in union with the Holy See. This means that an applicant or member accepts the teaching authority of the Catholic Church on matters of faith and morals, aspires to live in accord with the precepts of the Catholic Church, and is in good standing in the Catholic Church.

2nd Annual Knights of Columbus Altoona Council #551 Golf Tournament

The 2nd Annual Knights of Columbus Altoona Council #551 was held on May 15, 2010. After a shotgun start at the Park Hills Country Club in Altoona, golfers enjoyed the perfect weather and good golf. Fun, food, and refreshments were topped off with a dinner at the council hall and prizes were awarded. No one got a hole in one on hole #10 to win the car however.
Brother Terry Anderson organized a real winner for the Council charities

    Thank you for your support at our most recent Degree Ceremonials. The out of town Third Degree Team expressed their thanks to all who would listen. The hospitality and meals were outstanding.
    Again thanks to each of our Brothers, as well as the family members that also helped.
